I have 25 Coturnix Quail eggs that went into lockdown today. They are at day 14. I'm more nervous now. I started out with 39. 9 never developed and the others were dead in shell. Waiting stinks! I'm worried something will go wrong. Rrrrr. Trying to think positive as this is the first time I've incubated Quail eggs!

Just went through the same thing 4 days ago...Just keep the humidity at 60-70% and temp at 99 degrees and wait for the magic. You on day 15 now?

The ones that developed that died I could see the veining had left and inside was a yellowish brown color with the dark mass (chick) at the bottom. I breed Green cheek Conures and its similar to the way they look when they are dead in shell.

I am having the hardest time keeping the humidity up! It keeps dropping to 50! It's a forced air incubator.

My forced air was difficult with humidity it was from tsc a farm innovators brand. On day 14 i filled one resevoir halfway with warm water the humidity went to 65% and i left it at that. I figured id messed my whole hatch up i would open it adjust water close it day later open it adjust water but i hatched 100% that was my first hatch of anything.

I built this one with a Cooler and Incukit DC keeps the temperature but not the humidity. I have water and sponges in it and the humidity is at 50. I mist water in it and the humidity will raise to 60 but not for long. I hope at least some hatch.

Theyll do fine i was nervous about mine but someone told me coturnix are such a hardy breed you can almost set em in a bowl outside and theyd hatch lol.

I hope. I counted wrong they are at day 15 today. There is still movement inside the eggs. :)
