Lockdown on the 13th...anyone else?

I'm on lock down today with only 5 silkies.

My second time trying to hatch silkies the last time I got nothing with 15 eggs.

Good luck with the turkey eggs I tried them once and got nothing.

I'm using a different bator this time and so far so good. Good luck everyone. We need to show pics of all our babies. My DH had to take care of my last hatch of 96 chicks. So I guess I can say he gets eggcited when they hatch.

But he really did a good job.

I had another pip but it pipped at the wrong end!

It's an EE egg. So far just the 2 pips. Don't hear any peeping though.

Ginbart, good luck! I started out with 13 silkie eggs and only have 6 left. I hope I get a couple out of them...well, would like every egg to hatch, but I know that probably won't happen. My hubby would probably kill the chicks.

I will post pics when/if mine hatch.

I can't wait to see the pictures!! I have 4 pips now, but no zipping. I can hear peeping too. It was cool to hear it the first time at 1:15 this morning.

I didn't sleep much!

That is so exciting!! I can't wait to have some fuzzy butts! I have until Friday at 2:30 p.m. though so hopefully I will have more pip and some zipping soon! This has been a looooong week!

Yay for everyone pipping and zipping and hatching! I've got nothing yet Haven't heard any more peeping either. It's 21 days as of 11 am this morning.

I have 1 black silkie! It was so awesome to watch it zip and hatch...my son (7 yrs old) and little 2 year old daughter enjoyed it too! She kept kissing the bator and saying "Hi chickie."

Is the red cord still supposed to be attached to him and the shell?? Will it just come off as he is drying? I have 3 other pips. Nothing on the other 12 yet. Had movement on some of the others the past couple days.

Hoping everyone else gets more hatches and I have more to as the day progresses.
