i have about 4 dozen coturnix eggs in the bator. For some reason I thought lockdown was on day 15 instead of 14!! Uh-oh! Did I kill them all?! Lockdown is this morning. Should I leave them in the turners (set upright on the wiremesh bottom) or set them alone on the wire mesh? Also, just to confirm, humidity should be around 65% and I should put the water in via a straw through the ventilation hole? Help!

Relax... Deep Breath... This Will Pass

Humidity 65% Or Higher, I Personally Hatch Everything In The Upright Possition And Its Easy To Do This Simply By Unplugging The Turner At The Proper Time (make Triple Sure You Unplug The Turner And Not The Bator) As Far As Adding Water Do It However You Wish... Do Try To Limit The Amount Of Unnecessary Bator Opening, But If Dry Chicks Need To Be Removed Or Water Added Then Do What You Must And Be Quick, It'll Be Fine

Okay I guess it didn't matter because 3 have hatched and 2 are wiggling. We took the eggs out of the turners because the first quail that hatched kept getting stuck under it. We had walked over to unplug the turner and one had hatched, the other was coming out. We waited until that had hatched and quickly took the eggs and placed them on the bottom. The humidity is at 60% and rising hopefully! We're just putting in water through with a straw through the ventilation. We weren't prepared for a hatch on day 15, was expecting day 18 or maybe one day sooner. This is my first hatch. I really hope I didn't mess anything up by taking the eggs out of the turners and placing them on the bottom. I'm so excited!!! How long until the wiggling ones hatch?!?!
