Lockdown screw up...

I got the top off without a problem. This is how it is now, still moving and chirping. I put it back in the incubator....how long do I give it before starting to take rest of the shell off and the membrane??
If you have the whole top off of the egg and do not have any shrink wrapping, it will kick itself out of the rest of the shell on its own. If it is shrink wrapped, you have to moisten the dried membrane by either putting on a couple drops of coconut oil or gently placing a paper towel with warm water on it until it softens and you can pull the membrane off. I do this all right after removing the shell cap.

Does this look shrink wrapped? Sorry for so many questions! This is only my second hatch!

Yes, I would moisten the membrane and pull it back out of the way. After that it is best to allow the keet to kick itself out of the remaining shell.
Here’s what it looks like now...I pulled the putter membrane off am I supposed to pull the inner one too? I can’t tell if I see yolk or not?!

While I’m following your hatching experience. What temperature and humidity did you have them in?

I read an article here on BYC that recommended 100*F and 30-45% humidity then on lockdown increase humidity to 75%.

But on google there is different information on how to hatch guineas so I’m like 😫 ugh which one do I follow?!?!

You have to use whatever works for you in your location.

I incubate guinea eggs with the humidity between 30% to 35% and have it at 65% to 70% when they are in lockdown in the hatcher.
