I recently got a few eastern wild turkey eggs from one of our hens secret nests. They have been in the incubator for about a week and a half and when candled i can see the little guys moving around. The problem is that I have no idea when the eggs were laid therefore i don't know when to stop turning them and start lockdown? what happens if i keep turning them past lockdown?
any help would be much appreciated

Usually they will still hatch ok, but thehey may have a tougher time as the humidity may be off. if you have hatched before and candle every few days you will get a better idea of how long it should take from the looks of it. at least when the air cell gets larger and most of the rest of the egg looks full of well... dark mass, it should be within a few days of hatch.

supposedly continuing turning can disorient the chick and cause issues, but i have known several people that have forgotten and they rode the turners. but they also could get injured.
