eggs have been in a turner should I put them in an egg carton for hatch or lay them on their sides? I kinda feel laying them on their sides disorients them and they don't hatch or hatch the wrong end(past experience) how do you do it?

I would lay them on their sides. IMO. I have never tried the egg carton hatch but I think most use the carton during the first 18 days then take them out?! I may be wrong though

I have seen pictures of it done both ways and there are arguements for and against both. I think when I am ready, I will be using a carton, but this is my first hatch, so I don't have any personal experience to give.

hummmm I just cut the bottom of the egg carton so I guess I have made my decision due to your posts! Thank you all and send hatching vibes if you could these 3 duck eggs are from my own ducks who were snatched by a hawk(?) My poor Lucky was the coolest thing I have ever had and I miss him sooo much!
