Lockdown Today......Anyone Else? Black Sex Link/Jersey Giants

Well it comes down to the gritty......started with 40 eggs from ebay, ended up with 33 (7 broken), 12 days candled and 50% were either broken sack cell or unfertiled so i ended up with 18 good eggs.........and today is LOCKDOWN!!!....all eggs looked good.....tic...toc...tic...toc..tic....toc.....

......dont get tired of this feeling....lol.....will keep update.

I just hatched some Black Sex links, and I am going to get some more on April 3. I like how easy it is to sex them, but after all of the females are gone, nobody wants the males.

They are easy to hatch too. Unlike some other chickens that have umpteen complications with genetics that prevents them from hatching, Black Sex Links are easy to hatch.

RESULTS OF EBAY SHIPPED EGGS................after broken eggs thru the mail and loosing 50% of the remaining eggs for damaged air sack or unfertiled.....i ended up with 18 eggs on bator.....chicks started hatching on the 25th.........8 chicks hatched out of the 18......the other 10 had stopped developing somewhere in the 2nd week.......so i ended up with 8 healthy Black Sex Link/Black Jersey Giant Mix......

.......will think twice about getting shipped eggs.......will not buy but will be willing to trade........
