Lockdown today

I have 7 eggs that are in lockdown today .. I just candelled them and it seems that only one has any "action~" going on inside .. The one that does look ready is really dark with the air sac at the top, Should i be able to see a chick in there when candeling?

Im thinking that this hatch will not go well at all .. seeing how they are all from my hens and roo, who are fairly new to laying and treading, Im not fussed if i dont get any, Im always willing to try again

On day 18 mine just look really black if you're lucky you can see a beak in the air cell but not always I'd lockdown and wait till day 24/25 before giving up on the others
