Hello
I have been incubating eggs for several years but this is the first time I am stag incubating- in the same incubator.
My question is five eggs are 3-4 days later then the other seven. I did mark them.
What do I do about lockdown?
I appreciate the advice.
Thank you
Jennifer

Hi, Jennifer,

Staggered hatches are trickier with one incubator. It's the only way I do it usually, but I have a "hatching" incubator I move them to. If you're going to be hatching a lot, I'd consider getting a second incubator. I'd also try to stagger 5-6 days, so the younger ones aren't pipping while you're trying to take the hatched ones out.

That said, the last week of rotating eggs is least important so stop the turning a couple of days before the oldest ones are due to hatch.

I would split the difference of the humidity, and instead of 70%, I'd go to 60%.
