I put my eggs into lockdown just now, I candled them before I put them in. There are veins, the air cells look fine, but no movement? This is in all the eggs, maybe I just didn’t look hard enough, but what could this mean? They are bantam eggs and it’s day 18.

They may not be moving yet because they aren't developed enough or aren't ready to position themselves just yet. look at some day 18 eggs online, do yours look similar to that? My bantam eggs don't usually move till late 19 early 20. I don't know why. It's nothing to worry about, each egg takes its own time develop; 21 is just an estimate although its a relatively accurate estimate

Does the humidity fluctuate a lot in your incubator?

At this stage the chick has very little room to move so it's unlikely you'll see them moving. Have the air cells dipped down on one side yet? I'm on day 18 as well with my eggs. Good luck with yours. Let us know how you get on.

There are 6 eggs left, one of the air cells look a a bit smaller but the others have dipped down

When do you think they will pip? I know it’s not really something you can determine but I woke up today (day19) and checked on them and nothing yet has happened.

Probably day 21 like most chcikens. The only ones I've heard of hatching early are Seramas

Alright, I’ll just watch them and let nature take its course. They are silkie, frizzle and Americauno mixes

When do you think they will pip? I know it’s not really something you can determine but I woke up today (day19) and checked on them and nothing yet has happened.

Eggs tend to internally pip on day 19 and a half. Then it's around 24 hours before they externally pip and then around 12-24 hours before they unzip and hatch. It can be faster, it can be a little slower. It's torture for those of us waiting to see those cute little peepers though. And remember that the 21 days is an average, not set in stone.
