Today is my first lockdown, even though i'm not even sure why i'm doing it. I started with 16 coturnix eggs, 13 made it through power outages and wierd weather and a well- meaning boyfriend who turned my homemade forced air incubator up to 107. I float tested them yesterday and they were all moving around. But yesterday evening my 4 year old turned the temp up all the way while i was cooking dinner. I still don't know how he got up there to reach the controls. But by the time i noticed, the temp was up to 120. Float tested, no movement.
I am super upset, but I don't know what else to do but lock down and pray. My bator is holding temp and humidity nicely, and if not for yesterday's incident, i would be very optimistic. We'll see if i end up with any miracle babies.
