Me TOO! I don't even get home from work 5 days a week in time to see the flock out of the coops! I miss my evening chicken time!

The few minutes I get taking care of stuff before I GO to work isn't nearly enough time to spend with 'em. They mill about and want attention, while I'm filling feeders, checking stuff, providing fresh water, adding litter, etc., and I have to skedaddle off to work far too soon.

It's nowhere near as much fun to gather eggs in the dark as it is to be able to talk to the girls whilst gathering up the presents they leave me!

Me three! It's dark @ 5:30 here, but I miss being able to be out with the chickens as much as I can be in the summertime. This morning I sat in the coop in my pajamas for the longest time, just to spend some time with them. Their antics make me

Important note: The younger flock definitely prefers my eeyore jammies to my happy bunny ones.

I feel the same way----I miss my night time with my girls---it was my winddown time to!!!! But the last couple nights my Gladys has been out perching (in the run) waiting for me-she wants me to sit with her pick her up and put her in the coop-now tell me they dont miss it to!!!!!!

hi, i love your post, here in england it is also dark by 4.30pm, the girls trot of into their coop to settle down, i feel so sorry that they havnt had a really long day like in the summer months, no easy foraging if the ground is wet and hard, so i just give them more treats through out the day, and bless them they are all still laying, i feel for you if you go to work all day, i am retired so i spend as much time with them as possible, roll on spring.
