Loft/Aviary designs!

Hi all! I'm planning my process of getting pigeons next spring, and I am struggling with trying to find a proper loft/aviary that I could put them in. I originally (and still) want to build it myself, but if I find one on Kijiji I will inquire buying it.

Just wanted to know if anyone has blueprints for a loft that has a suitable sizing for 2-4 pigeons, and an outdoor part that can also provide good enough space for 2-4 birds. Since I live in the suburbs I don't want to freefly them (for now). If I can't find a proper diagram/blueprint online I'll just have to wing it and see how it goes!

Glance thru this thread, and you may find ideas for just what to create. I do not recall any blueprints, but there are many pictures of pigeon lofts there.

The loft article that CCUK wrote is a great example of a smaller loft and seems to be more or less what you’re looking for.

I built mine out of a dog kennel frame with hardware cloth for predator-proofing. You’ll also need an enclosed/covered portion.

Not sure what I meant by conversion. I meant to ask how difficult it was to attach the hardware cloth around the kennel frame.

Relatively easy, I used zipties. I wish I could figure out a more permanent method of attachment, but the zipties are surprisingly long-lasting.
