Log Cabin project has begun.

I don't think DH & I have ever made anything that was totally square!

The pitched roof looks really good! I can't wait to see the finished project!

I have built countless buildings and almost all of them have been square, they had to be. If off a little bit the rest will not fit together right. This is my first time trying a non-modern building design.

I do have to admit, I didn't draw a single plan or design for this coop. I just started and kind of looked at it and make adjustments as needed. I have stopped a couple times to think more about what I want to do, like today. Not sure how I'm going to back fill the coop and how I am going to lay out and build the run. I have three trees that will over hang the run, so I will have to put a top on it.

I don't like the door, so I will need to put some wood on the front of it to make it match the rest. But the door is functional and the girls are out of my stooge room and in there own house.....





The coop is done! I will up date the roost bars and add nesting boxes, but I have awhile to do that.

Very nice! I would move the roosts slightly away from the heat lamp rather than right under it. I'd also put in some wider roosts higher up for the birds to use as they grow. What will you use to chink the logs? Mary
