Lone chick...

So my Father in Law discovered a lone baby chick There use to be more from A neighbors chicken but pretty sure the cats took care of them. He has no idea or want to raise it. I told him he can bring it to me. I have raised 3 batches of chicks now so feel a bit more confident, but a lone chick makes me nervous. How do I raise a lone chick?

You don't. You get at least two friends for it. Chicken math... But seriously, they're flock birds and won't be happy as a single.

Yeah, my husband told me I couldn't have chickens. So he came home to 6 chicks in the bathroom 2 yrs ago. Now we have 11 hens, 1 rooster and 5 babies under a broody.

Haha yeah I have 10 hens and 4 roos the roos are getting ready to be culled so I guess this little baby and 2 or 3 friends will make up for them. Staying even is good right?!
