I have recently incubated 13 chickens, but only 1 has hatched so far. The other 2 will hatch in around 2 days. The chicken seems to be chirping a whole lot, and I was wondering if it is sad? If its lonely? If its cold? I put two hot water bottles in the box, and have shavings too. It hasn’t started eating yet, and I was wondering if I was fine or does it need anything else.

Thank you for the warm welcome! This is the box. She is sleeping right now.

The father is a Silkie and the mother is a Leghorn. It has white fur but has black spots all over it.

What a cutie! Also, about the eating, newly born chicks can go up to 72 hours without having to eat or drink, so don't worry!
*But you should still leave some water, just in case. Food isn't necessary for the first day or two.*

Oh alright, thank you! I will definitely post the chickens when they come out. This is my first time incubating chickens, and I was worried about the fact that it wasn’t eating. That explains it! This is my second time raising chickens, but my first time incubating them myself. I hope you have a great day!
