lone duck egg hatching NOW..advice needed please

hope you can tell from this pic....is this still some yolk to be absorbed? i think it is

he's been out of the shell about 6 hours now, eyes still closed, and just laying on the base of the incubator

should i do anything to help him now? or just leave him to it?

what I do is keep his shell on his lower section, don't keep it moist though, once he is out he needs to absorb, and dry his shell. I would put a booty sock over his section. and I keep hand warmers on had for hatching assisted chicks get colder if they lose blood.

hopefully this is a better pic....IS it yolk? or gunk? should i leave it attached? he hasn't stood up or anything yet...i think he's still exhausted, but he IS moving....kicking his legs, trying to lift his head etc

also, his eyes aren't open yet...is this normal with ducklings? he cheeps when i talk to him tho, so that must be a good sign?

well i don't think it can have been the yolk still attached, it must have just been gunk, because he managed to detach it by himself

his belly button still looks a bit raw....does this seem ok? how long does it normally take for them to have the energy to stand up? is it a couple of days?

he's still laid down in the incubator...he's been hatched about 11 hours now, and i know i can leave him in there up to 36 hrs

even if he's not on his feet by then, do i still take him out, and put him in the brooder, with food and water?

you can take him out anytime you want that proble wasnt yolk since it was attacht to his foot he should stand once he gets fluffed up he seems fine anyway you can put him into the brooder anytime ducklings usually take longer to walk then chicks he should be fine keep us updated

no, he isnt fluffy yet
