Lone Duckling from Auction-PICS ADDED

Awww what a cutie pie.

SOrry I have no experience with a lone duck - perhaps she'll be fine spending time with chickens, and then take her away to swim (?) a couple of times a day or so till she's old enough to figure it out.

I'm sure you could put a small dish of water in with the mom chicken, so long as other baby chicks can't fall in.

I have 4 ducks that were born in may. You can one, two, three, or four if you want to get a friend for you lone duck. They are almost full size and are mutts. one is a dark brown the other 3 are Mostly black.

Thanks for the offer, my brother found some the same size so the baby is at his house with 5 others....guess he couldnt get just one more!! Had to get 5 more!

Thanks everyone!!

Good you found friends for him but I'll tell you I had gotten two ducks about 3 years ago or so, one was a Peking ??? (I think that's what they call those big white ones) and the other was a mallard. I raised both from chicks along with chickens. The mallard ended up flying away but the big white one, who can't fly, spends his time with the chickens and also attempts to mate them. In the winter he goes into the coop at dusk with the chickens and hangs out with them. If I lock Duckie in another fenced yard next to the chickens (to give the chickens a mating break), all the chickens lay next to the pen fence on their side and duckie lays next to the fence on his side. The barnyard was much better once the mallard flew away and left duckie have all his chickens to himself.
