Lone duckling- is a chick better than nothing?

Yes. I had a lone gosling that I raised for awhile by itself. About a week later I just gave it some guinea keets the same age and he was a lot happier and didn't mind that they weren't geese.

I have a pair of goslings coming early next week. Should I hold off until then and then just put them together? I am holding her a lot. She has a mirror, a stuffed cat (very soft) and even a clean feather duster (for the win! she loved this most out of all the other things). My 2 week old chicks just gang up on her and peck on her so it's not a safe environment for her right now.

Since geese so grow so fast they should be able to catch up with her in time so I think it's worth a try. The stuffed animal and her having some human companionship should be enough until you can try the goslings. Just watch them when they interact because my goslings were sometimes feather pickers

Thank you so much Kevin!

It's no problem at all. I hope they can all be one big family
