Thanks! I'm collecting them because I have a theory about the saddle feathers and gender of the birds. We've all been waiting months to be sure what gender our birds are, but I think there's a difference at about 1.5-2 weeks that only stays a short while before it becomes almost impossible to tell by feathers. At least, on blues it was consistent in the few instances I managed to check last summer.

I think I have your peachick's twin. He just hatched out this morning. He's a lone peachick too. The other one died in the shell while pipping.

I've been doing research all day so I can learn more about this breed. This is my very non-silkie I'm thinking about raising. He's so cute that I might end up keeping him. And he does make alot of noise even for a 1 day old.

I see you peachick is not only mine's twin but has the same family. Mine is in with the silkie chicks too. I think I may have found a local pied chick. If they are reasonable on price I will pick him/her up and least they will be friends...my luck two peacocks.
