I have one lone quail chick and I can tell it's lonely during the day when I'm not right there with it. I put a mirror and a feather duster in the brooder with it and it seems to help a little, but I'm wondering if there's anything else I can do to make it more comfortable when I can't be there with it, and will it be okay growing up being a single bird? Any tips and advice is greatly appreciated!

Your bird will be fine. It will bond with you much faster and become much tamer than it ever would if there were more..... If you want a quail as a "Pet".... this is exactly how you do that........

Fat Daddy X2. Lots of lovin' and he will eventually bond quite close to you as a house pet. It is the quality time, not the quantity. :)
