I had 3 eggs in my incubator. One hatched almost 2 days early!!!!!!!! :eek:I candled the other two eggs, and they haven't even internally pipped yet. I mean it's only barely day 20 so that makes sense. But I now I have a loner.................he's a super healthy guy, very active and all, I just feel so bad :barnieHe's completely alone 😣 Very quiet........I gave him a stuffy, but it's NOT doing the trick. He's like "What the heck is that thing?". He even pecks at it. He knows it's not one of his siblings. The others won't hatch till late tomorrow probably! What'll I do? I've been holding him, but again I'm not quite cutting it as being a chick sibling :lau He's under a heat plate but still seems lonely. HELP! Or is he ok? Am I overreacting? I've had loners, just not for this amount of time.

If it’s getting attention from you, and has a toy, it’s fine. Adding an old CD (reflection) is a plus too. It’s okay though.
BTW, you could have left the loner in the incubator. It stays busy kicking its siblings around, motivating them to hatch.

If it hatched earpy, it couldn't stay in the incubator the whole time it waited for the others to hatch. They start to need food and water about 1.5-2 days after they hatch and there's no guarantee the others would hatch right on time

My chicks are always very eager to get food and water once they're able to walk around properly after a few hours. But I guess to each their own. We all have different ways of hatching

Ugh. It's always hard for me to wait for eggs to hatch, but especially this time!! The 2 eggs left are 'due' this evening. Poor little buddy is soooo lonely 😣
