Lonely crying quail chick

Hi! Sorry to bother you but I decided to hatch 4 quail eggs from my hens. 3 were not fertile and only one hatched out. She got really imprinted on me and won’t stop crying when I don’t give her attention. She tries to jump out the brooder to find me and won’t eat because she is too busy crying and jumping lol. She only eats off my finger for some reason. today she is 3 days old. Is there any way I can make her stop crying and eat her food alone? I have a stuffed animal In there but she seems to not be interested in it.Thanks very much!!

Quails are flock birds that need others. If that’s a problem for you at the moment try putting a mirror in there because that’s way better than a toy.

She needs buddies but yes for now stick a mirror in their my chick used to cuddle up to it when his siblings decided to come 5 days later then him xx

They do imprint on there mother when they hatch my did on my which is hilarious cuz it kinda treats my fiancée as the dad quail role and i get the mom role mines a button quail we are basicly together from 5am till 9pm unless i have to go out then they go in a big bin with a heating pad mine is 6 weeks old and 1 day today last two are like 2-3 days ago pics top pics are today good luck with ur quail. Honestly worth being a imprinted quail mom they are so my emotional support button quail lmao

Is this the same one that is sick right now?

Yes. I once have brought that same once out to socialize with some older chicks. I’m wondering if she contracted any worms or disease from them.
