Hi,
We have had our 2 Roen ducks for about a year now, 1 male and 1 female. Recently our female has started to sit on her eggs ("go broody") and has been sitting constantly for a little over a week. Our male duck seems to be a little lonely, mopey, and generally bored. He is letting us pet him which is unusual as he usually stays a hair out of reach. He is also not trying to chase the dog away and tolerating her being around. Any suggestions to cheer him up? Additionally, this is the first time our female has sat, any way to tell if she is sitting and actually going to get some chicks?r or sitting on non-fertalized eggs? Our lake is back up to summer pools after a long winter and us and the ducks are anxious to get back out and swim. Any suggestions or info is helpful..
Thanks
