Lonely Male Bobwhite, can I put a female Texas A&M in cage with him?

I have only one Bobwhite (male) left out of my 4. He is very lonely without his mate, constantly calling for a mate now. Someone is giving away a Texas A&M Female, I would like to put her with my male. Is this okay to do? I am reading a lot of conflicting opinions.

He will beat her half to death breeding her. Id consider it to be i humane.

Sounds like you need a bobwhite hen. The Texas A&M is a coturnix and like Dc said, probably get beat to death by mating.

I don't want anymore Bobwhites. I loved them, but they are too wild. I can't pick them up when needed. Thank you both. I will just keep them separate but nearby.
