Lonely mallard

Our poor duck is the only one of her species among the chickens. She has a small tub to swim in, and she gets along fine, but I think she's lonely. For a while she was making some strange, high-pitched squeaking noises, like "Piip! Pip!" Was she trying to imitate the chickens?

If you can, you need to get her another duck friend.
Ducks are very social little creatures and they do much better with someone else to be a duck with.

My ducks make that noise sometimes and they have plenty of friends. Even though I don't think the noise has anything to do with it, I think she does need a friend too. Ducks are social critters and need buddies.
