What? The fact that I can read maps?

I inherited that from my dad. My mum's one of those hopeless people who left alone would probably end up in another city.

That second idea is a good one though. I still haven't visited the US! Must go some day!

Oh man, I just went over and read the second two (I only had time for the first one earlier) and they are such good stories!

I especially love the one about the slip. I've seen an episode of Mayday about that Air Canada flight, and they have to do a slip to land on the closest runway cuz they're outta fuel. It was amazing. I can just imagine how awesome that would be to do

Ahh, still got a year to go before I can learn to fly (rules

different to the US) but when I get there it's gonna be worth the wait for sure. I'm really looking forward to it!

Where did you see that? What else happened?

Stupid rules! Yeah.. over here you can start lessons at 16 and try for your license at 17.. which is when I got mine

Oh, they landed fine - nobody was hurt at all! They did, however, almost crash into two young boys cycling on the disused runway - imagine! Trying to out-cycle a huge airplane that had just landed!

Oh really?! Well, that's the same over here then! I thought it was different, something about being 14 or somethin'.

ETA: Yeah, I absolutely love doing the online school stuff. I can stay up and do homework in the middle of the night, while on BYC.

Oh, great, insurance.... never thought about taking any. I'll probably never end up owning anything, anyhow. I just can't imagine myself in a job that'll get me more money than just enough to rent out a small house and buy a bike to travel around with.

I do odd jobs for money all the time. If it's less than $10, I decline because it's not worth the effort, but something that'll give me twenty bucks a shot is gonna be worth it in the long run.

Hmmm..... maybe you could open a PO box and I'll fly a note over.

Wow. Doing work in the middle of the night. But I love just staying at home and not going anywhere - I could live at my computer screen. Always so much to do online!

I don't even know how to open a PO box.

I'd do the homework during the day if I didn't work, but sadly I do.
When I am home, I'm always on the computer, unless I'm outside with my chickens.

Over here, I did a bit of research into it, and it's $90 for the type of lesson you just mentioned.

I think I'd prefer to stick with the two-week course!

I'd rather save my money and just have Squishy fly me around.

Me too, well, not my actual hometown..but the town I live in now.
I've been here a year and a half, and I still use GPS to get me to a store across town.
