And somehow that sink is full of dishes again.

Well thats the neat thing about the ponds! I'm actually trying to work it out in my head.. maybe a very long, curvy, wandering creek?
See... you try to replicate their natural habitat... Sooo the boys would all have their own little 'territories' you could encourage them to stay in, with their own little clay pot or something more attractive that floats to bubblenest under.. and some live plants in the area to make them feel safe.. and maybe put each boy at a bend in the creek? If they have enough room, like in the wild.. they tend to stay in their own little territory. Then the females kind of swim loose like normal fish would.. and when a female feels like spawning she'll go from territory to territory and check out all the boys

and she'll pick the one who flares the biggest at her.. or is a more attractive color to her

and then she'll approch him more closely and they spawn. Then she leaves daddy to take care of the eggs in his little territory in his bubblenest under the pot or floaty thing.. and the female wanders off to have fun parties with the other girls

The breeders in thailand do that for some of their fish.. and then they search their ponds for young adult fish and scoop them out to look over to see if they're good enough to sell

They just get put into the sink and then later get washed.
Usually by me.
