Long Distance Friendships :-(

Mommy Chooks and I didn't talk for long. Lol.
She likes strangers more.

Go get your picture taken!

Hmm i think i read somewhere that they pick the eggies up in their mouth.. to put them in the bubble next...

Once the female approaches the bubblenest and is not immediately chased away, the spawning is not far from happening. The male will wrap himself around the female, who will release the eggs. The male will catch the eggs on his tail where they are fertilized. He will then pick up the falling eggs and place them up in his bubblenest.

Yes they do.... but when the eggies don't come out.. and they keep picking up more, that never make it to the nest... then you know the boys have eaten them

There were at least a hundred eggs in my last two attempts

I had a spawn with some Opaques like, 7 years ago... before all the pretty metallics came out... and it was alot of fun raising the babies!

My current fishies seem much harder to spawn... but I'm pretty sure its just that the area I had them in was too 'busy' so I've got a tinted container I'm going to try them with... a breeder recommended that....

*yawn* Okay, back later peoples, i gotta get in some sleep before the house becomes noisy in a few hours with everyone waking up.. oops..

But I made sure to take pictures so I could share with you.
Since you couldn't have any of your own, I shared, so it was kind of like you got to see them afterall.
