What does closing up at work entail, by the way?
I did it at the shop, basically all we did was haul in the display shelves outside, bring in the shop sign from the main road and turn off the air con.

It wouldn't be inbreeding... it's the way Bettas and alot of other fish are bred. Because, well... if you want to keep a color and a finnage type and form, you have to keep the genes close. Fish dont tend to suffer from ill effects from inbreeding like mammals would. I think its recommended to outcross every 7th generation or so... usually just to make sure the line stays hardy.
Thats what people do when they want to get fry that look like their parents anyway. The kids that go out and breed the petstore Bettas to another random petstore Betta end up with fry that look nothing like the parents.

Firefly on the other hand.... and these girls... are similar enough and have consistent backgrounds so I'm pretty sure I would only get fun surprises

I am starting to agree with mom though... I think perhaps Glitter would overpower Fireflys copper colored area with her Blueness.. and have a bunch of Blue and Black fry. Which I wat of course, but I would propably be breeding the two BlueBlacks together ad get that, and more consistently.

So to be a pain in the booty... if you go back.. do you think then Shimmer or Tinkerbell?

Ok About the browsing trip didnt buy anything

as i was there 10 mins b4 closing, but i walked in and was greeted by a huge white Gourami fish staring me in the face in a huge tank lol,

Then i looked at the giant Biorb tank they had there( It was either the 30 or 60, have a feeling it was the 60) I knew they had them there but no 4 gallon ones.. plus its way cheaper to get it offline anyway, anywhoo, after looking at tanks, i went into the fishroom, Most are tropical fish in that room or marine fish, And i looked at the betta's and they were in little 4 inch by 4 inch tanks i think (from memory) they were not that big, some with tiny 'decorations in them' some looked a bit uh limp? but most had Bugger all fins like not as much as you would see on a normal fish, so they may of been really young, or nibbled at, some looked a bit sad

and they weren't that vibrant or interesting in colour just Blues, reds and the occasional yellow..

Defiantly a downgrade of quality since i was there 3 years ago. So then i looked around a bit more at the Marine tank displays with little fishies in them NEMO! heehee

and looked in all the for sale tanks and its like 13$ for 5 neon tetras there, and there was an eel in one of the marine set ups.. and i looked at the tiger oscars as i think they look cool, and the live coarl and stuff

Well if you went with the blue one, you could get Shimmery blue and black Babies which would look neat, but if you want more ones like the pappa breed to the sissy that time, and the next time for a change you could breed the blue one with him? to see what comes out

When I worked at the pizza places... closing usually entailed.. at least for the insiders... breaking down the line of food (all in coolers in seperate little tubs) by taking them out one by one, covering them.. taking them into the walk-in cooler... getting other foodstuffs out from the cabinets in the cooler and treking them into the walk-in.

The scrubbing down the inside of the cooler... which is really hard because its usually frozen up with ice all around... ice of course, that has pounds of crumbled cheese and toppings that went astray... and as you melt it down turns into a big gooey, icy mess that you have to scoop out by hand. Then the cheese smears all over the interior sides and you have to scrub and scrun and polish to make the brushed metal shine (because it has to 'look' clean.. restaurants) nevermind all the disgusting watery cheese goo that gets under your fingernails.

Then onto the floor... also usually covered with copious helpings of cheese and pizza toppings and cornmeal for the dough tossing. After all the mess is swept up, then it gets mopped down..usuall with a hose and bleach because there are usually drains in the floor for the purpose.

The dishes from all the food preparing for the day have to get done... the walls wiped down, all the counters scrubbed and polished to within an inch of their lives.... and yours...

Because its a darn restaurant... the entire store has to look like you could eat off the floors and the walls before you leave.


Did I mention the very best part? All of that scrubbing and polishing usually has to get done while customers are still calling and ordering and you're still making food

So it's like... Wipe.. *ring*.. swear.. drop cloth.. answer phone... talk to customer.. get order down.. politely hang up.. trek over.. wash hands.. make food.. with most of everything you need already having been put away

... so make 5 trips to the walk-in to fetch everything for just one order... make order with 5 containers of whatever in the way... get the order in the oven... put everything back in the walk-in so it doesent spoil... go get your rag.. wipe some more... *ring ring*.


Sorry... Moral of the story.. I wouldn't order food from a pizza place closer than 2 hours of their closing
