Ok well they both seem to be able to turn on.. though the filter is toooooo poweful..and makes alot fo pshhhhurrrt noises as it sucks in the water making bubbles..

Soo.. Is it like bubbley noises with bubbles coming out? Or does it sound a bit rattle-ie or buzzing? Maybe there is some carbon or other filter media lodged in there... you should be able to take the housing apart a bit to check for obstructions...

Is there air trapped in the filter? Alot of them you have to fill up with water before you turn them on...
Is it a submesible filter or a hang-on the back type?

Do you have a thermometer to check the heater?

You can slow the filter down a bit.. I can help with that

Usually a bit of sponge around the intake area or a strip of sponge at the outflow are will disperse the water more and make it a bit gentler.

You could wait for the end of the month and get yourself a cool fishie from Aquabid
