That used to be the problem ( we are slowly coming out of a 10+year drought) plus, the soil in the back yard, it is baisically Clay.. and Dust.. the small patch mum did grow has been eaten down by the chickens

when spring comes she is fencing it off again so they don't eat it.

well at least your yard is not full of weeds, it is like living next to a jungle here

LOL reason its not full of weeds anymore.. is because we pulled them ALL up.. which took AGES.

we seriously need to get some spray, stuff is a health hazard

uh? idk.. but thistles.. HURT >.> i just use a garden fork to loosen up the soil and put on a pair of gardening gloves and start pulling em up

I can't even imagine starting on the weeds in our yard
