If you want your hair straight and dont want to fuss... you can get a straightening treatment done.
Either at a salon, or you can buy a home kit if your mom or if you have sisters that are amenable to doing it for you.

The actual straightening irons run as low as $20 for a decent, ceramic one... and its not to hard to use.. you just need to have a spray or after-shower serum to put in your hair that protects it from the heat

I had my bangs chopped today, seeing as you are interested

haircut, I now only have a short covering of curls,
it sure beats that birds' nest
but one gets nostalgic after having had long hair for so long haha
