I'm here!

Gee.. Ranch dressing making is so exauhsting... all of that veggie chopping... and I'm a notoriously slow chopper.

My feet hurt.

I'm off to take my shower in a few... but it's probably going to be 45 minutes long since I rode in a cab today.

No bloodwork done... what we thought we got sorted out with my insurance, wasn't sorted out at all! So they wanted $130.00 just for a stupid blood test. Mom wanted to pay it for me.. but I argued her out of it, no way for a single test would I want anyone paying over a hundred bucks!

So we went over and had great girl fun in the Sallys Beauty Supply right next door. Got a color and highlights and a perm kit and all the tools things to go with! We got big rollers so I can have big loose curls... hopefully!

Mom used to be a hairdresser in Australia... so I trust her more with my hair than I do some stranger. Shes the one that made some of my short haircuts. Always wanting "Snip just a little off the ends" for me.. LOL... Nooo.. I want all my hair!

So we are going to have fun tomorrow night perming my hair! Then a few days later we will color and highlight it! Such a fun array of stuff I displayed on the kitchen table

Then I got 2 sparkly pink nail colors.. and some little pink rhinestones for my nails. A really pretty wide hairbrush.. and a wide toothed comb!

Mom got some pretty eyeshadows, and a haircolor for her.


I know! We sound like such girly girls.. but we were having fun together!


I also got you a little present Danielle. Because I saw it and it made me think of you. I have another something in mind that I want to send to Flare too... so I will send this along with that when I get it

I looked for some of the hair products you mentioned... and I saw the pink stuff.. but it was a system meant for heat protection.. and I didn't figure I'd be using heat much..... So I got this other leave in cream for curly hair.


Do you see how jealous I was of your beautiful hair, yet?

Well, really I saw a picture in the store of this lady with really loose waves.. and I said "I want those!!" *pointing like a little kid* and mom said "Oh! A perm? OK!" and rushed off to find all the right stuff... Hehehe! I think she wants to have the fun of doing it

I cut my own hair, so nobody else can mess it up.
I hate going places.
I always tell them what I want, even take pictures, and they somehow mess it up.

So I just started doing it myself when I was in like, eighth grade.
Thought about being a hairdresser, but they don't get paid much. I want money. Lol.


Oh gosh, you really don't want my hair. It's such a pain.
We can switch for a day, and you'll be begging to give it back.

... I had something similar happen to me at another restaurant once... and it's so akward.. like, I know its not MY fault... but... but...
That lady in charge of training me on expo at Applebees.. got demoted to line cook... and a few months later, out of the blue, she snapped at me (I had to ask the cooks to toss me this or that and check the tickets for accuracy, all the time) and started hurling frozen chicken wings at my head through the hot plate gap in the wall

Hopefully, the boss doesen't expect you to make up too much stuff too quickly. I would get mad at her from here if she did! I know thats helpful...

Well.. when we someday have our girls night.. I'll help you straighten your hair! I had to do mine for a few years after the perm, so... I shouldn't mess up too bad!

I'd love for you to straighten my hair for me. It just take soooooo long to do it.
Maybe we can get two straighteners going and do it at the same time.
It'd take way less time!
