Oh, I am such a chocoholic. I would eat three ice creams, not one. This only started kind of recently. The higher your glucose gets, the more you crave sugar and food. food was actually making me hungry!
Its important to have plenty of protein in your diet. My doc tells me to eat meat and veggies.
I never knew this, but sugar can stress the liver just as much as alcohol can.
Eat food in its most natural state. Get your carbs from veggies, not grains.
Eat wholegrain pasta and breads.
Exercise can be as simple as a 20 minute walk daily at the least. Build the strength in your legs, I've been practicing my squats. Can you go swimming?
For a week now I have been fighting my chocolate cravings. I have incentive now, after seeing my blood work, I do not want to become diabetic.
Supposedly, once the sugar levels go down, the cravings will lesson. I did not used to have such cravings, I've always liked chocolate, but not crave it so much as I do now. And just any food for that matter.
My mood was saddening, my brain getting foggy, no energy or interest. I wasn't depressed, just too much glucose at this point. Not even enough to be diabetic, but on my way.
Glad it was caught!
And I'm glad I am not on meds, but supplements. This can be turned around, I am to get rechecked in a month.
And it hasn't been that hard walking for 20 minutes.
Just getting control of the insulin levels should reduce my weight.
