Now... Do you have a petco in your area?
I likey Petsmart.. they have a big selection.. but they charge $10 more for an empty tank of the same brand than Petco does

My 20 gallon long tank from Petco was $20.00! BUT! It was during the once a year sale. The 20's are usually $40 and the 10's are usually $20. The 5's are $10.

If I were you.... I would get an empty 5 gallon with hood (the hood ups the price x2 or so usually). Then choose a better quality filter (me help!) and heater.

In the end you might spend the same or $10 more or so... but its worth it to my thinking.

Your thinking on the actual tank and appliances can be whatever you want though... since you know not to get a petstore Betta and to only use water products and food I approve of first.. hehehehe!

Its OK... filters a little strong for the Bettas... your dead blue boy liked it though

But the shape looks really nice to me, better than square.

We have a Petco, but it's in Indianapolis. That's about a two hour drive..

I only have a Walmart, Meijer, and Petsmart that I know of around here.
There's little shops around that I don't trust too, so I won't be going there.
There's a Speck's in Anderson, which is 30 minutes away.
I'll go see if they have a website.
