staying out of mums way as she is zooming around the house cleaning and i just get in her way

I want to talk about fishies again but I cant think of anything to talk about

Mmmm.. a couple different fishes...

My second favorite to Bettas though is Fancy Guppies. They can be really pretty too, they're very easy, and lots of babies!!!!

I had some show quality type ones I got from some local guy for $10 for a big bag of fish... They were soooo pretty with all the leopard-like spots and stripes and stuff... I had lots of generations of their babies over 2 years, even when I was neglecting them terribly and forgetting about them

Put them in our pond out back when we moved here and they did well all last year.... then it got coooold in December and killed them

Of course I completely forgot about them until it was 2 days too late

Oops lol, i had guppies before not the show kind ones just regular ones.. mannn do they poop alot! >.> i swear they killed eachother off and stashed the bodies in weird places.. under rocks.. under fake plants.. behind the filter. Never getting those again

And Betta fishies are too smart for their own darn good!

Why do they think they can get more food by staring at me and begging like puppies???

Oh.. thats right.. because they can

So you know what enables Bettas to breathe from the surface?


Ohh food...
Mine eat..

Freeze dried stuff... Brine Shrimp (with Spirlulina algae).. Bloodworms (mosquito larvae)...Daphnia... Attisons Betta Pro pellets (made of Brine Shrimp egg yolks) ... Live Bloodworms captured from a bucket left purposely outside.. Hehehe.. They loooove those things when they wriggle... yuummmmmm!

Hoping for some Fairy Shrimps to do well here when I finally get the eggs so I can raise those for something else live for the adults to chow on.. and the baby shrimp can be fed to fry...

Ohhh yeah.. my first guppies ever when I was little were the normal kind... they died really quick

Also they're not nearly so pretty to look at and their bodies are a lot bigger.......

I can't imagine they poop more than Goldfish!

But I didn't notice much in the way of poop from the fancy.... maybe you should try them someday

any pets can get food by staring at you haha. It's some kind of organ they have that helps them breathe air from the surface.. ??

The betta food pellets round here are pretty bland ones

fishy fry are tiny aren't they? fed a liquid diet for a while b4 solids?
