LOL... It's Labyrinth Lung...

I had to special order my pellets too
hmm.png
The ones they keep in the store are dumb. Say they're for Bettas.. but if you read the package they don't have nearly enough protein and theres veggies/algae in there. Uhhh fish food companies.. Bettas are strictly Carnivores!!!!
roll.png
LOL!
The pellet I have here they really love.. they gobble them right up.. and they're about 40% protein. Also it cost half as much.. even with the shipping ( got them in regular letter mail because so light.. like $1.20 LOL) and the actual food was only $2.50.

Maybe when you get your fishie I should just sed you a care package... Hehehehe!

Betta fry are very small... Ill dig up a pic for you in a moment... but for the first 3 days you dont feed them anything. They eat up their yolk sac and they go around catching infusioria which is little bacteriums and other microscopic thingamajigs... and those are already available from the plants or leaves that would be in the water of a spawning tank.
Then on day 3.. they get started on real food... usually Microworms which are teeeeeny tiny.. and banana worms or walter worms.. all of which look just the same and have only tinnnny differences in size
tongue.png

They can also have Vinegar eels. Then they get the Baby brine shrimps (BBS) or baby Fairy Shrimps... and when they get a little bigger a good powdered food can be added.

Then they just get gradually stepped up to big-girl food... like daphnia and the like.

Ohh that makes more sense about the fry
smile.png
don't they look like lil tadpoles? Its kinda like chickens in the first 3 days.. as chicks can last 3 days without food as they absorbed their yolk

Water changes are very important, not only for the health of your Betta, but it can be vital in your Bettas success in spawning. In nature, seasonal rains are the signal which marks the start of the breeding season. Water in the wild becomes softer as it is diluted with fresh rainwater, and the nitrogen level begins to drop.

You can duplicate this effect by doing frequent water changes (about 15 to 20 percent per day for breeding). Use reverse osmosis or demineralized water to help stimulate the Bettas to enter their spawning cycle.

An increase in barometric pressure will also condition your Bettas for breeding. Many hobbyists have reported that their Bettas were more interested in breeding right before or during a rain or snowstorm. You can follow the local weather reports and choose your breeding time appropriately.

The rainy season can be duplicated by showering the surface of the aquarium when doing your water changes by using a watering can or a (brand new) kitchen colander or strainer.

Another common change in the natural environment during breeding season is a sudden abundance of food. Insects are more active and abundant during wet and rainy seasons, as are fresh water invertebrates.

I found that, it may help you speed up the process?
