Nutrition

Firstly, neon tetras are omnivores. They will eat brine shripm, a good quality flakes, small granules, small live or frozen food, or tubifex. Feeding should be provided at least two times a day, the neon only have very small stomachs so only offer them very small meals each time. Only offer them the amount that they can eat in 5 minutes, excess food will rot and spoil the water quality in the tank.

Neon Tetra feeding:

Wild Neon Tetras are omnivore and feed on plant matter as well as on crustaceans, worms and small insects. They are not fuzzy eaters in the aquarium and will accept most food types, including flake food, frozen food and freeze-dried food. Keep them on a varied diet to prevent malnutrition. You can for instance use a high-quality tropical flake food as a base and supplement it will occasional treats in the form of daphnia, brine shrimp, bloodworms or similar

Since they are omnivorous the Neon Tetra will generally eat all kinds of small or finely ground foods; live, fresh, and flake. To keep a good balance give them a high quality flake food everyday. Feed brine shrimp (either live or frozen) or blood worms as a treat.

Actually I think that is still too much food..... As bettas also only have small stomachs, they reccomend that you only feed about the same size as their eyeball. so like 4-5 bloodworms per fish.

Ya Probably the same with neon's And any other fish, I rarely over feed the goldfish even though they are little piglets.
