Long hard molt or something else?

These hens are 1.5 years and in April I saw the start of a molt on my frizzled hens. See pic with naked neck only. But it just keeps looking worse. This 2nd pic of her is from almost a full month ago and she looks NO better today. (Forgot to take another pic today) But that is almost 6 months of this. I have a couple other hens that look like my Welsummer that is pictured... I do not see anything moving on the skin or anything amiss... But at the same time I have never seen a molt take this long. Thoughts? We live in Connecticut where the temps are cooling off a little now if that helps 🤷🏻‍♀️. Thank you

Doesn't look like a normal moult to me. Maybe feather plucking like @Wyorp Rock said, or maybe depluming mites? I don't have much experience with that though so take it with a grain of salt
