Welcome from Southeast Missouri! Somehow I don't associate Long Island with chicken keeping, but I guess chickens are adaptable enough to go anywhere. City chickens are a thing, right?

Fingers crossed for Chelsea!! As unfortunate as it is to have a sick, or injured bird, they seem to bond much more closely after a stay in the hospital! My little girl that got beat up by my drake is lovingly referred to as a purse chicken now. She is so calm and doesn't mind to be handled at all.
