Long quail nails

I have some quail in a pen with a wire floor. I heard this was better for their health since their waste doesn't pile up, but I found a downside in that their claws seem to be growing very long now. They have a dust bath dish and other boxes filled with straw+bedding etc, but I don't think it's enough for them to scratch to keep their nails short. Has anyone found a solution for this?

I've seen some setups where there's a stone slab beneath the waterer so that they can file their nails when they drink water.

what I do is I put the water and feed in a place where they need to step up onto a brick or patio block to eat and drink. They often scrape the ground with their feet in foraging movements while they eat, and standing on a nice rough patio block keeps their Nails nice and filed.

I put a slab of slate into their dust bath beneath the soil, and they file their nails down quite well on it every time they dust bathe.
