Long time chicken guy, new to the forum.

I'm located in N. San Diego County, CA. Very rural area with avocado farms, horses, and of course chickens and other farm animals. I've been raising chickens for about 20 years off and on. We lost a lot of our flock to the coyotes when we first moved here about 10 years ago. The property is now secure, and we built a killer coop. So we're getting back into increasing our flock again. We're also just now starting to grow our own mealworms.
This is our coop at about the 90%stage of completion. I have since finished it to the 99% stage. I have now finished the paint and tiled to roof.

And the new babies. Four, I hope, hens.

That is a killer chicken coop with plenty of ventilation for the hot desert area in which you live

Thanks, but we're not in the desert. We're about 10 miles inland from the ocean with a very temperate climate.
