(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I have had my chickens almost a year now. Got this batch in April, still very new to it all!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
15 in the yard & 15 in the brooder!
(3) What breeds do you have?
Plymouth Rock (barred) & Australorp rn but I am interested in so many!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I honestly just think they are lovely. So much fun. They make my day, everyday.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Farming IS my hobby, and mostly the only one I can afford! But I have been trying my hand at fiber arts and painting, this last year
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a wife and mother of 2 great boys. We also have a cat and a dog besides a million chickens. I work as a bartender but am also heavily disabled so my life is crazy lmao.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Well I have shadowed a lot of discussions here and finally felt like I needed a community after struggling to find a mentor in my area. Thanks for having me.
