Hi,
I've been a member of this site for years, because I've wanted chickens for years. We finally decided to go for it right when everyone else in the world did, so chick availability in our area has been low. Lucky for us a friend had purchased new chicks to add to his existing flock two weeks ago, and then decided against adding them after all. Today we picked up from him four chicks that are 3-4 weeks old. They are one each of: Light Brahma, Cuckoo Maran, Black Australorp andGold Laced Wyandotte
My other hobby is gardening which I think will be a great compliment to chicken keeping, but I also keep myself busy with school and work. In addition to the new chicks, the family consists of my husband and myself, two dogs (a Great Pyrenees and a Lab) and two tabby cats.
Excited for our chicken adventure!
