I have been watching and reading from the sidelines here on Cape Cod for years and years. Finally, I am official! BIG time grateful for this community and I look forward to joining in now. 
I've raised chickens and ducks and quail here in small flocks. Currently, I just have chickens. A mixed lot with hand-me-downs and a few I raised a couple few years ago from chicks. I'm planning on keeping a couple of older ones the kids are more attached to and culling the rest to make room for a new lot of red stars.
I'll be hanging around looking for good advice and community...this place is just TERRIFIC because we have such a great diversity of people who are taking time to be here and give ideas!
