Hello! My name is Angela. I live in the mid-Atlantic region of the US. My husband and I have had chickens for almost 5 years. We mainly keep our girls for egg purposes. We currently have 4 buff Orpingtons, 2 barred rock crosses, 3 Ameraucanas (2 black, 1 blue), and a lavender Ameraucana rooster. We are looking to hatch some new chicks in the spring if we’re lucky enough to get a broody hen. It’s nice to finally join the community!

Hiya, Angela, and welcome to BYC! :frow

You've got such beautiful chickens! Thank you for sharing.

I get a chuckle though when someone says similar to this:
if we’re lucky enough to get a broody hen

We raise/breed silkies, and around here, it's a shocker not to have a broody hen. :) Hopefully, one of yours will go broody for you though!

We're glad you're here!
