Hi, Everyone! Proud new "Mama" here. My broody (that's a hen who sits on eggs, yes?) hatched 7 beautiful babies!!! AND 5/7 hatched in the incubator. That's an awesome DOZEN new chicks! :) Added the 5 incu-babies in with the mama-hatched today and they are doing great! (although as I fussed over them, mama got really mad and came at me- oops!)

I believe I have 4 adult Rhode Island Reds, 2 jersey giants and one as-yet-unidentified.
So if their babies are the same kind as the mamas, there are 4 RIRs, 6 Giants and 2 from the gray one.

Fingers crossed they're not all roosters LOL!!
