are you expecting him to be blue? What is your goal with the cross?

I had no goal in mind for this project... I just wanted to see what I would get... But now im going. To lean toward a light blue dark laced dark faced longtail...

So I sold the lighter cockrel the other day... The feed store loved him! He was a silvery blue with red shoulders conning in! I wanted to keep them both but DW wanted to get rid of some mouths that didn't produce... So I have the dark blue cockrel and lighter pullet to begin a line with! And I still have mother Sumatra so I can work on the dark face! And German yoke hens to keep the tail as long as possible!!! Think I'll go outward snag some pix this mornin! I need some constructive criticism on my boy!

what was used for your cross? I used the Yokohama roo over my Sumatra hen. Out of that breeding I have one I think will come out like your darker roo and a lovely laced pullet that may look like your light hen. I also got a cockrel that was getting red shouldering!
As soon as they start producing I should be able to sell some eggs! I don't plan on selling stock until this time next year maybe if things go well! The pair I have now will be going to school with me next semester to get a complete work up! Love having free vet care!
