Lonley buttonquail, who can I give him?

My buttonquail hen Nova just died, and me and my male (Galaxy) are totally heartbroken... But he is worse of than me... The only birds available are one male buttonquail who was also widowed, a female Coturnix (pretty sure it won't work), and a budgie or Finch... Who would be best?

I'm sure the finch could live with him, but I doubt they would get any companionship out of each other.
You could look on Craigslist and the like and see if anyone in the area has spare females.

I think I found him a lady, but she has to be shipped from PA... Her owner is trying to see if she can... It would be her frirst time shipping, but she really wants to help Galaxy!

I'm in the same boat. One of my females died a couple of weeks ago and left my white male (Broccoli) all alone. I have other females but they are paired up already. I do have a trio and tried to give her to him but she beat the crap outta him. Tried the other one and lo and behold, she did the same. He was terrified. Even tried the see but no touch first but it didn't matter. For now, he's all alone. Poor guy. :/

Buttons pair up, and aren't exactly prone to accepting a third to their pair. The times I've heard of button trios working, they met each other right off the bat.
